.MEGA meet this weekend – MEGA meet is this weekend. The link to the meet with the schedule and directions is http://www.meetsbyjosie.com/index.php?p=meets&m=MEGA_Invitational. Please be sure you arrive one hour prior to the open warm up time. kids need time to refocus before the start as well as participate in our team warm up. The meet is expected to run on time and quite likely ahead for the first 4 sessions. They WILL start early so better to be there than miss warm up! The meet host is currently trying to make arrangements for a Super Bowl broadcast for all of you that have expressed concerns about the “conflict” I do not have a confirmation yet, but we could always bring our own TV and “tailgate” in the parking lot and watch the game. THERE WILL be a charge to park. It is $5 per car. The admission also $5 but they only charge spectators 16 and older.
.Val Pal week next week – Next week the athletes can bring a friend to team class for our annual Val Pal week Valentines week. Mon/Tues will be our post meet game day and Wed/Thu will have some other fun stuff planned along with a little bit of “free” time. This is a great way for the kids to show their friends what they do and also help expose some new families to AP.
.Possible team photos 2-27 – We will attempt to do a team photo with Kelly Reed on Feb 27th in conjunction with our academy classes annual winter Olympics. The regular classes will have an in house meet and gymnastics portraits with Kelly already here so we though we could do team individual and group portraits as well. More details soon.
.APTTA – Sleeptrain Update APTTA Sleeptrain Update Thank you to everyone who attended the meetings this week. We are in the process of deciding if we should participate and if so in what manner in the Sleeptrain fundraiser this year. In order to commit to working it for the whole team we need at a minimum of 50% of team families to commit to working at least 2 concerts this spring/summer. Last year we had 26% of the families participate and we earned $3200. At a minimum we would like to double that. Concerts run April thru Sept. and the schedule is coming soon. In order to work you must be TIPS trained out in Wheatland at the Ampitheatre. We will have dates for TIPS training soon. They will be scheduled for the end of Feb.and through March. If you have previously TIPS trained you are certified for three years. In your family folder there is a form for you to complete based on your interest in the Sleeptrain Fundraiser. Please complete this form ASAP and return to the front desk by Wednesday, Feb. 10. For those of you who are new to team, please contact John Hudson at thehudz@comcast.net for more information.
.APTTA – Bouncer Bowl Update This year our Bouncer Bowl raised $2729.00. Some of you remember that we spoke about changes last year to our gym layout or even a move to weather the economic hard times, but we think we may have found a way to remain strong. We are going to create a gymnasium space up front in the gym and the plan will begin with an equipment rearrangement next Friday and Saturday. We need volunteers to help Friday after 5:30PM and Saturday until 2PM to get the equipment all moved around. Please let Amy know if you can help.

We will expect our schedule to be something like 10-1 or 10-noon. Please advise if you can help out!
